Masum Kumar Lodha is an experienced Senior Technical Lead with a strong background in the mobile-ad tech and Indian fin-tech industries. He is skilled in large scale distributed systems, microservices, algorithms, cloud services, and large sharded database systems. Currently, he works as an Engineering Manager at PhonePe, where he leads the engineering team for Money Management, which includes accounting, merchant settlements, taxation, bookkeeping, and reconciliation systems. He has optimized and scaled up the merchant onboarding platform, automated tax flows, and built control flow management for finance and tax teams to group invoices based on various SACs and regulations, thereby removing engineering effort for the same. Currently, he is building a real-time pricing engine platform to be used across PhonePe for calculating and managing revenue on the fly. Masum has also worked as a Senior Technical Lead and Technical Lead at Inmobi, where he gained over 8 years of experience in large scale distributed systems and building microservices interacting with each other for both high scale and low latency as per the requirement. He was one of the lead engineers for "DSP," building the new ad platform from scratch on Azure cloud services along with guiding the team by taking care of major aspects - efficiency, scale, debuggability, functionality, business, reporting, and data analysis. He has also independently designed and delivered the only Risk Management Service @ Inmobi. Pre detects any abnormality in the system by comparing historical data with expected current data and takes smart decisions to minimize loss. Masum holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) focused on Computer Science from the International Institute of Information Technology - Hyderabad. He also has relevant experience in senior software engineering, mobile, microservices, and Azure. With 8.87 years of relevant experience, Masum is a strong information technology professional with excellent leadership skills and a demonstrated history of delivering successful projects.
